Our New Home...the Decor (more coming soon!)
Here is some of our new and/or up and coming decor!
We decided to go ahead and put hard wood flooring from Shaw Flooring in the formal living and dining rooms. It's the Vintage Oak in the top middle of the design center's sample palette. On the right, Shaw's website shows the color differently.
My beautiful new antique couch and chair from Harris Antiques in Fort Worth!!! And below is the chair a friend gave us. These pieces make up the formal living with the hardwood floor. (Also on the hardwood floor is the dining room, where I have a new antique dining set and matching china cabinet from a friend from church. Pictures of the antique dinette set coming soon, but you can kind of see it in the back.)
I want to put something like Boston Ivy on the sides of the house where it appears to be "creeping" up the house (like below)...very "castle" like.

I like this for the living room. We are having to go custom in the living room due to the window height and style.
These are our kitchen window treatments, but without the lower rod curtains.
These are our bedroom window treatments, with just one valance though.
