Steve and I both love medieval/fantasy themes!  Thus we have decided to have our wedding in a castle!  Just east of Rockwall, a couple has built a "castle" type home and has now opened up their new residence to weddings.  It is called "Castle Douglas". Click here to go to their website. The castle was finished in February, 2004.
The castle is just east of Dallas, past Lake Ray Hubbard off of I-30. Click on the map below to bring it up in Yahoo Maps. From there you can get further driving directions if you need them. Just go east on I-30 past Lake Ray Hubbard, exit FM 549 and go left over the highway. Then about a mile or so, Clem Rd. is a small road off of FM 549 branching to the right, not the left ...which Yahoo maps will make it look like, so I've included a more explanatory map below. You'll then see the top of the gate...it looks like a castle gate! (hotel info below)
Reserved suites are located at the Radisson Hotel DFW South. Each reserved suite has a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, and sofa and table living area.
